Lake Havasu is a unique place. It’s located in the middle of two states – Arizona and California. This makes it a popular destination for people who want to travel between the two. Lake Havasu is also a great place to visit during spring break and summer when the weather is warm and the water is inviting. The scenery is beautiful, and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy! Whether you’re looking to relax or have some fun, Lake Havasu is the perfect place for you. So what are you waiting for? Lake Havasu is a man-made reservoir that was created in 1963 by the Parker Dam on the Colorado River. It spans over 45 miles and has more than 250 miles of shoreline. The lake is well known for its clear blue water and London bridge. Lake Havasu is a popular spot for fishing, swimming, boating, and hiking. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops lining the shore, so you can find everything you need for your perfect day at the lake.
One of the most popular things to do at Lake Havasu is to visit the London Bridge. The bridge was originally built in 1830 and spans more than 850 feet. It was moved to Lake Havasu in 1968 and has been a popular tourist destination ever since. If you’re looking for a unique experience, be sure to check out the London Bridge!
Lake Havasu is also known for its wild spring breaks. Personally, I never went to Lake Havasu for spring break, instead choosing South Padre Island. However, I have heard that Lake Havasu spring breaks can be quite rowdy and a great time for students looking to go. The biggest drawback is its distance from Pheonix and a cheap flight as flying to the airport in Lake Havasu City can be quite a bit more expensive.
During my time at Lake Havasu, I rented jet skis and went from the Arizona side to the California side to the casino before heading back across to eat at every local restaurant I could in the three-day span I was there. Then went to a couple lakefront bars before ending up at party cove with some local people for the night. All said, Lake Havasu was one for the books and is most definitely a place that I would like to visit again.
My favorite restaurant was called “The Chair” located right by the London Bridge. The Chair was fairly priced, had good service, and had great food. It was also by any activity you could want to do at the lake. So if you do make the trip to Lake Havasu, be sure to give The Chair a try.
